Our 3-Tier APK Security Audit Protocol
Before any APK binary is linked or indexed on our platform, it must clear three independent verification gates:
Gate 1: Multi-Engine Antivirus Scanning (VirusTotal API)
The binary is uploaded to VirusTotal to execute scans across 65+ commercial antivirus engines (including Kaspersky, BitDefender, Avast, Sophos, ESET, and Microsoft Defender). Only files achieving an unblemished 0/65 Clean Certificate are approved.
Gate 2: Static AndroidManifest Analysis
We decompile the package using apktool and inspect the AndroidManifest.xml declaration. We strictly verify that dangerous permissions (such as READ_CONTACTS, SEND_SMS, RECORD_AUDIO, or BIND_DEVICE_ADMIN) are completely absent.
Gate 3: Dynamic Wireshark Packet Inspection
The application is executed inside an isolated Android emulator sandbox routed through a Wireshark network capture tap. We analyze outgoing TCP/UDP sockets to ensure telemetry data is limited to stream negotiation, with zero exfiltration to suspicious adware command-and-control servers.
